If conditions are right, Kirkcudbright will witness a partial solar eclipse on the morning of 25th October.
To learn more about these astronomical events, coronal light and solar physics in general, come along to this fascinating talk by Dr. Iain Hannah, a Senior Lecturer and former Royal Society Research Fellow at the University of Glasgow.
Dr Hannah’s research is focused on the Sun’s atmosphere and how energy is explosively released during solar flares, using data from a variety of NASA, ESA and JAXA satellites.
Booking is essential.
Please note you will be given a loyalty card which will allow you to attend your 5th event for free.
